Stuttering & cluttering care

Smooth Speech, Grown Gently

When words get stuck, repeat, or rush out too fast, children can start avoiding talking altogether. Our fluency program treats stuttering and cluttering early and kindly — with slow-speech games, breathing play, and lots of successful talking moments.

We work directly with your child and coach you on calm, pressure-free responses at home, so smooth speech gets practiced everywhere — not just in the clinic.

  • Stuttering assessment with severity mapping
  • Easy-onset and slow-rate speech games
  • Confidence routines for school and show-and-tell

Inside the Program

1

Fluency Mapping

We chart when bumps happen — excitement, tiredness, long sentences — so practice targets real life.

Turtle talk, stretchy sounds, and pause-and-plan cards your child actually enjoys using.

3

Talk-Time Practice

Real conversations — ordering at a café, calling grandparents — with a therapist beside them.

4

Home Playbook

Five-minute daily games plus what-to-say scripts for siblings, teachers, and family.

Fluency FAQs

Will my child outgrow stuttering on its own?+

Some preschoolers do, but waiting rarely helps once a stutter has lasted six months or runs in the family. A short evaluation tells us whether to watch, guide, or start therapy.

Should I finish my child's sentences?+

It's kinder to pause, keep eye contact, and let them finish. In sessions we practice patient listening, then teach the whole family the same habit.

How long does fluency therapy take?+

Most children attend weekly 45-minute sessions for three to six months, with monthly fluency counts to track real change.

Do you work with schools?+

Yes — with your permission we brief teachers on classroom strategies like voluntary turn-taking and never calling on a child mid-block.
