Early intervention, 18 mo – 3 yrs
Big Starts for Little Talkers
Late first words, few gestures, or more pointing than babbling are all great reasons to start early. First Steps is our toddler program: short, musical sessions built around peekaboo, bubbles, snack time, and the toys your child already loves.
Parents stay in the room and learn responsive strategies — waiting, imitating, expanding — that turn ordinary routines into language lessons.
- Early communication screening and milestone map
- Parent-child interaction coaching every visit
- Gestures, signs, and first-word routines

First Steps FAQs
Is 18 months too early for speech therapy?+
Not at all — earlier is better. At this age therapy looks like guided play with heavy parent coaching, and progress is often rapid.
What if my toddler won't sit still?+
Perfect — we don't expect sitting. Sessions follow your child around the playroom; movement is part of the plan.
Do you use screen-based activities?+
No. Toddlers learn language from faces, voices, and hands-on play — that's all we use at this age.
How do we know it's working?+
We count new gestures, sounds, and words monthly. Most families see their first new words within six to eight weeks.
